Description:
As a Hummingbird Feeder Caregiver in training, the volunteer will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of local hummingbird populations. This position involves learning best practices for preparing, cleaning, and maintaining hummingbird feeders to ensure a safe and consistent source of nourishment for these delicate birds. Under guidance, the volunteer will become familiar with sugar-water ratios, proper feeder placement, and hygiene protocols to prevent mold, fermentation, and disease. Ideal candidates will have an interest in birds and nature, attention to detail, and a willingness to follow routine care schedules. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on wildlife conservation at a local level.
